AI discriminates against non-white and non-male people – every day. This is because these groups are sometimes completely absent from the data sets from which AI draws its knowledge. Alexandra Wudel, co-founder of the FemAI think tank and advisor to the ICT Committee in the German Bundestag, believes this needs to change. Maybe it’s time to glue ourselves to the streets for AI, she says in her Deep Dive. Alexandra advocates using intersectional feminism as a tool to make AI more human-friendly.
